Challenge complete!
Great job

The Save The Food San Diego Ecochallenge is a regional challenge to minimize food waste. By making small shifts in how you shop, prepare, and store food, you can toss less, eat well, and save money. We invite you to waste less and enjoy more by creating intention and taking action!

Food waste makes up the largest portion of our waste stream, and households generate 43% of all wasted food in the U.S. The Save The Food San Diego educational campaign, spearheaded by the San Diego Food System Alliance, is here to cut the scrap by raising awareness about the problem of wasted food and providing resources for reduction.

Select institutions will be participating in the Save The Food San Diego EcoChallenge. Throughout the EcoChallenge, you can share your progress, success, and reflections with fellow teammates and EcoChallengers, all while earning points for completed actions. The combination of collective inspiration, camaraderie, and friendly competition makes change a little easier - and a lot more fun. After all, progress is social!
