Rosa Rodriguez 11/12/2020 8:56 AMOur household has been actively trying to reduce waste by purchasing only what we plan to eat that week. We have cut down on the amount of produce so that it is fresh and we use all of it before it gets too ripe. I also have started to recycle my coffee grounds and egg shells to use in my garden.-
Sarah Feteih 11/16/2020 10:35 AMSo many great strategies here, Rosa! I love how you're starting with prioritizing reducing food waste at the source, and also incorporating recycling strategies like composting.

Adriana Perez 1/26/2020 5:55 PMI have been more conscious of food waste. I have started to do some composting in my backyard of veggies and fruits that have gone bad. Usually, very minimal amounts of food go to waste. -
Max Sanchez 1/20/2020 2:58 AMJust getting over the flu, ready to start tracking my food on a regular basis. -
Jessica Sanchez 10/10/2019 11:02 AMI'm not sure where I input food waste.... :(-
Sarah Feteih 10/11/2019 10:01 AMHi Jessica! You input your food waste in the "Food Waste Tracking" action that is on your dashboard. To access this, click on "Dashboard" at the top of your navigation bar.
Scroll down until you see the yellow "Food Waste Tracking" action. Click on the round button, and the tile will "flip" and ask you to enter two things: your total food waste for that day (in ounces) and how many people generated this food waste. Fill in your information, then press "submit".
I hope this helps! Please feel free to reach out to me at sarah@sdfsa.org if you have any additional questions.

virgian hughes 10/07/2019 8:01 AMIt's a challenge to figure out how to acknowledge what I've completed. However, I'm still moving forward completing the challenges on my dashboard. Happy Monday all. -
brittney hansen 10/05/2019 8:56 PMMy challenge is going pretty darn good, my roommates and I are really starting to notice how much we have been throwing away. -
Associated Students Inc. Board of Directors 10/04/2019 10:01 PMChallenge is going well! The team is doing their best to recognize how much food waste they are contributing on a daily basis and I am noticing that many of them are trying harder to finish their meals as to not waste anything. -
