Food Waste Tracking
Food Waste Tracking
Ready. Set. Record!
For each day during the food waste tracking week, record your food waste. This action accepts one entry per day, so be sure to enter one total for food waste across all of your meals, or weigh all of your food waste once at the end of each day. Please use ounces for unit of measurement.
Cooking
Revive Limpy Produce
Rescue limpy produce like leafy greens or carrots by soaking in an ice bath.
Cooking
Repurpose Leftovers
Give leftovers a new life! For example, use leftover rice to make fried rice. I will try a recipe that repurposes leftovers times.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Annette Taylor 10/02/2019 11:50 AMI had left overs from eating lunch out yesterday and it is the biggest part of today's dinner, along with some extra veggies. -
Annette Taylor 10/02/2019 11:49 AMI tend to peel all my vegetable and toss the peelings. I really need to find someone who has a composter. I don't because I'm in a tiny condo and there is no place to put one. I wish there were very small ones for condos.-
McVey Ayres 10/02/2019 10:08 PMHey Annette, all you need is a compost bin- usually a ceramic bin with a lid (they can even look cute) that sits on top of the counter in your kitchen to put your food scraps in; you can google where to drop it off in your neighborhood and do a once weekly run with your compost to that location.
